Homeschooling -- field trip to the zoo

What a good and observant listener he is!

They're watching an experiment demonstrating waves that an earthquake makes in the earth's crust. There was also an experiment with a bowl of jello. Sugar cubes were stacked on top and when the bowl was thumped, the jello made waves and the sugar cube 'buildings' swayed and the collapsed.

The boys have really loved the zebras this summer.

The gibbons have a new home and this one is very friendly.

Brian was very concerned that he was putting the toy in his mouth -- which amused me since Brian still puts everything in his mouth.

This is David's favorite part each time we go to the zoo.

Brian caught a Buckeye butterfly on his head. More amazingly, he stood still for it.

It's still humid here. Look at those curls!

This is my first zoo trip without another adult along since Anna Grace was born and it went exceptionally well. The children were all well behaved and a pleasure to be around. Brian is turning out to be a super helper for his mommy!
