One of the projects undertaken while we were there was to trim back a hedge of holly bushes in the front yard which was threatening innocent visitors on the front sidewalk. Dad did the majority of the trimming and Mom and Mimi did the majority of the hauling of trimmings to the back to be burned. Brian liked this part and helped push the cart on many of the trips. David tromped around the yard picking up pretty leaves that we later turned into place mats for Mimi's house. Dad managed to find a bee or wasp or something that didn't like him messing in his bush. Dad ended up with a fat lip. Sharon and Greg came prepared bringing gloves and donuts for an after work snack. Their arrival was timed perfectly.
