How a kid's brain works

Today as I was putting Brian in the car, he asked if "it was spaghetti out." After being confused for a minute, I said that I didn't know what he meant. He said, "Well, maybe it's just chili out then."

Does this have anything to do with the fact that you sometimes serve chili over spaghetti? "Well, if it's not spaghetti, then it's just chili."
